Yeah but some of them are strictly superior to their PvE equivalent. Like Sunspear Rebirth Signet is alot better than Resurrection Signet. I don't think people are trying to be greedy. PvE has no metagame. The monsters don't write to ANet and complain about how broken the PvE skills are. I doubt people are going to have loads of PvE skills in their bars. They just want options. ANet shouldn't count Signet of Capture towards the total PvE skills at the very least. As I don't have GWEN the only one's I use are whatever Sunspear skill my profession has(when applicable) and Sunspear Rebirth Signet. The Luxon/Kurzie skills don't really appeal to me to grind faction to get them. None of the GWEN PvE skills really wowed me. I enjoyed the blessing skills alot but I never used any of the other PvE skills.

To be honest, I don't care whether SoC takes up the PvE skill slot. In fact, it should. It limits things a bit for everyone. Not only does it give you only 7 skills to work with on your bar, it takes away one of your imba pve skills.
PvE skills were placed in to slightly offset the imbalance to the massively overpowered monsters but would be imba in competitive play. Even then, they're not exactly required. If it's so hard that you truly believe you need 3 PvE skills to beat it, you're doing something horribly wrong.

If you're only going out there to cap a skill, it's not big deal.
But, if you were just exploring hoping to cap a good skill at random, then I can see a problem... (Haven't done that myself since Prophecies.)
I can see how it's inconvenient though. Especially for SS Rebirth Signet. Probably never gonna use it again.

Don't think its that bad. You hardly need 3 pve skills if you're just capping. Run there, kill, map back to town and stick your other skill back in. Stops you having 3 pve skills and 2+ elites...
Besides, is it so bad to take the res sig instead of the sunspear sig?

If you need more then 3 PvE skills you need to revise your build or learn to play.

Pshh. Fun? What do you think this is, a game or something? Things have to be done for ph4t l3wtz or epeen titles, or not done at all! Get out of here with that crazy talk.
Fun, indeed.

It's a game mechanic, like limiting builds to one Elite.
You have to chose amoung all your PvE skills for the best ones. That's always been part of the Guild Wars experience.
And of course Sunspear Sig counts, as mentioned, it's better than reg rez. If you want to use it, it will cost a PvE slot. These are choices you must make...

Imagine if their was no limit for a sec. Abbadon would be the new shing jea practice arena and there would be almost no variation in builds, and your skills would be inferior. The limit is good, not too much not to little. Stop whinning about carrying a rez sig lol. You keep it on a bar for about 3 minites to cap from a boss and thats it...

But it does limit the number of other PvE only skills you can use until you go back to town, whether it is 3 minutes, 5 minutes, or however long it takes to finish the quest you are doing.
I do agree that the 3 PvE only skills is a reasonable limit, but this "only for so long" argument isn't valid.

I've no problem with the 3-skill limit, but I think the signet of capture inclusion may have been on oversight.
I only time this comes into play at all for me is on my characters going for a title. I often run 2 sigs and the wrong secondary so it's a (small) pain.

The sig. of capture most likely will become an Elite.
3 PvE skills OR 4 Elites OR a combination of both.
Doesn't sound unreasonable.

what what what?
4 elites on a skill bar? That's not at all unbalanced!
Seriously, just make the cap sig not included in the 3 PvE skill limitation and this entire problem goes away.
